Si tratta di una zona dalla duplice appartenenza regionale: da un lato lombarda, dall’altro veneta. Anche il territorio vitivinicolo riflette questa particolarità: alle argille corlacee si contrappongono terreni piu morenici con elementi gnidiosi.

Influenzato dalle brezze temperate del Lago di Garda, il microclima è mite e piuttosto costante, caratterizzato da poche escursioni termiche tra giorno e notte.
Il suolo
Quelle della Lugana sono argille stratificate di origine morenica e di natura sedimentaria, principalmente calcaree. Ricche di sali minerali, conferiscono al vino profumi intensi e ben definiti.
The area
Situaded in the south-western part of the morenic amphitheatre of Garda, the encompasses nine municipalities: Sommacampagna, Sona, Villafranca di Verona, Valeggio del Mincio, Peschiera del Garda, Castelnuovo del Garda, Lazise, Pastrengo and Bussolengo.
The microclimate
The unique microclimate here delivers summers which are hot but not humid and relatively cold winters which are tempered by nearby Lake Garda.
The soil
The hills divers and variable soils, which are mainly light and interspersed with large gravelly layers.
However, the composition of the soil is largely calcareous, a characteristic which lends the wines their
sapidity and minerality.
The area
The Valpolicella region comprises the hills and valleys north of the city of Verona. It extends from the Adige River valley in the west to the volcanic soils of the Soave winegrowing area in the east. Valpolicella Classica includes the municipalities of: Negrar di Valpolicella, Fumane, Marano di Valpolicella, San Pietro in Cariano and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella; the eastern Valpolicella area extends across the municipality of Verona and the valleys of Illasi, Tramigna and Mezzane.
The microclimate
The presence of Lake Garda means the microclimate is cool and breezy, with temperatures that are never too extreme. In addition, the Lessini Mountains to the north have a tempering effect on winter temperatures.
The soil
There are different macro-types of soils, depending on the morphology, rock composition and bioclimatic characteristics, each of which lends different characteristics to the vines that grow here.

The Soave winegrowing area is located in the eastern part of the hills of the province of Verona and includes land within the municipalities of Soave, Monteforte d’Alpone, San Martino Buon Albergo, Lavagno, Mezzane di Sotto, Caldiero, Colognola ai Colli, Illlasi, Cazzano di Tramigna, Roncà, Montecchia di Crosara, San Giovanni Ilarione and San Bonifacio.
The Microclimate
The area is predominantly hilly and enjoys a mild, temperate climate with most rainfall concentrated in spring and autumn.
The soil
The soil in the Soave area is of volcanic origin and the minerals it contains are reflected in musts, which
lend the wines their full flavor and great sapidity.

The Bardolino area is typified by hilly terrain that includes the foothills of the province of Verona, an area of great beauty.

Extremely windy and sun-drenched, which benefits from the influence of Lake Garda.

The morenic hills are characterized by a very varied soil of glacial origin: sandy, gravelly and clayey. The area is home to native vines and a mild climate, which together lend Bardolino wines their unique character.
